MY WORK / UX/UI DESIGN / COCA-COLA.COM
DOT COM BUBBLES
A CMS platform migration, new IA, new design system, new interaction design, fresh UI and style guide.
13 markets.
6 languages.
5 months.
70+ hours a week.
Burnout 🥵.

To establish the design foundation, I sprinted the strategy and audience definition as part of a multi-agency group. From there, I experience mapped the existing site and created a set of user journeys and flows, based on business and user goals.

These hypotheses were audience tested with an online survey to over 300 participants.

Based on these insights, I prioritised a set of site components and created highly detailed annotated wireframes outlining the information and interaction design.

Working in sprints with the AEM platform development team and the front-end developers, I delivered packages of fully-defined components, modules and elements, wrapped into a scalable design system.

To accompany this, I created an instructional and demonstrative UI Styleguide and a full set of UI pre-vis.

Results.
The site successfully rolled-out across the 13 target markets (some of which were structurally very challenging).
The work caught the attention of Coca-Cola Global, who adopted it as their brand standard and deployed it into a further 25 markets across the globe.

On top of that (there is more, I told you this was a success story), many other brands within Coca-Cola's portfolio also utilised the design system and I oversaw the creation of their brand sites.
